SRH, who are reeling at bottom of the points table have almost been eliminated from IPL playoffs. A loss for SRH would officially eliminate them from IPL 2021 season while RR are in contention for the 4th spot in points table along with the likes of KKR, MI & PBKS. RR's magical win against PBKS has helped them to be very much alive in this season. Sanju Samson's men would be eager to prove themselves despite the absence of their big England stars in the 2nd phase of IPL.

Last time when these two teams met each other, RR posted a huge total against the Hyderabad side with the help of Buttler's century. Buttler in that match went onto record the highest score for RR player ever in the IPL history. As far as SRH is concerned, the captaincy change in mid-season hasn't worked since Williamson has lost all the matches as captain in IPL 2021.
