During the Lancashire vs Kent match in County Championship 2021, James Anderson completed picking 1000 wickets in First-Class cricket. The 38-year-old bowler who has been playing this format since 2002 has recorded one more milestone in his career when he picked a five-wicket haul against Kent today. James Anderson has recorded his 1000th wicket in his 262nd First-Class game.

7: James Anderson recorded his best bowling figure in 7/19. His previous best bowling figure in First-Class cricket was 7/42 against West Indies in 2017.
