Amit Mishra is a veteran leg-spinner who has often made his value felt in domestic cricket as well as the Indian Premier League. In fact, the Delhi-born cricketer is the third-highest wicket-taker in the history of the tournament, having scalped 166 wickets from 154 matches. Mishra is only behind other legends like Dwaine Bravo and Lasith Malinga.

Despite his invaluable contributions to various franchises over the years, the leggie went unsold at the IPL 2022 Mega Auctions. And as the tournament has commenced this year, some of his fans are missing witnessing him in action. One such fan took to Twitter to reach out to him and asked him if he could come to Chennai Super Kings this year, who are struggling to find a combination that works for them, having lost their first three matches for the first time ever.

To this, Mishra gave an epic one-liner reply. He simply said: "Sorry mate, Still two years younger for it."

For the unversed, Chennai Super Kings are often called the Dad's Army as they usually have ageing cricketers in their side. Having said that, Mishra is already 39 and it was only a tongue-in-cheek comment made by the spinner.

Mishra, the undisputed king of IPL hat-tricks, has not one or two but as many as three IPL hat-tricks against his name. While the first one of those came in 2008 playing for the Delhi Capitals against Deccan Chargers, his second came in 2011 against Punjab Kings. The last of his hat tricks came in 2013 playing for the SunRisers Hyderabad.
