Young Delhi batsman Subodh Bhati seems to have hit the form of his life. Not only did he achieve the unimaginable, scoring his second double hundred in a T20 match, he has continued his rich run of form to score 79 off 27 balls in his next game, playing for the Market Sapience Cricket Club against Nagender XI on Wednesday. While he had wreaked havoc with the bat scoring the double ton opening for Delhi XI New against Simba, he scored this quickfire innings also as an opener for his club in the 1st Sapience DHONI Knock-out encounter at Gurugram, Haryana.

While Bhati scored 4 boundaries in this innings, he smashed as many as 10 sixes as he accumulated the runs at a strike rate of 292.59. Courtesy his innings, as well as the efforts of Shivam Bansal (43 from 21) and Shivam Chaudhary (55 from 29), the Market Sapience Cricket Club posted 242 batting first. However, even this total did not prove to be enough with their opponents chased it down with a ball to spare.

Shahbaz Ahmad's 69 from 31 ends up on winning side

In response, Nagender XI put to up a clinical run chase with almost all players doing their jobs to perfection. While the openers got them off to a good start, it was Shahbaz Ahmad's 69 from 31 which nullified Bhati's efforts from the first innings and ended up on the winning side. Ahmad's innings included 5 fours and 6 sixes.
