It is an open secret now that Indian batsman KL Rahul and Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty share a strong bond with each other. Apart from actively commenting on each other's posts on social media, the duo is also believed to be dating each other since 2019. Even though the two have not talked about their bond publicly, rumours suggest that Athiya is dating the Indian batsman.

Ahead of India's tour of England, the BCCI had announced a 20-member squad for the outing of more than three months. Given that it was such a long tour, the apex cricket body of India permitted all the players to have their family members on board for the tour. Amidst all, the KL Rahul fans were keen to know if Athiya too was a part of the group. Some even used their online pictures to prove their point that the actress has accompanied Rahul on the tour, however, nothing concrete was found till Athiya's recent post.

Athiya Shetty in England with Team India

The Bollywood actress, who made her debut with the 2015 film 'Hero', co-starring Sooraj Pancholi, recently put a social media post to confirm her presence in England that too with Team India. At midnight of Saturday-Sunday (IST), Athiya took to Instagram to share a picture of what looks like tea on her story, and tagged Rajal Arora, saying, "bless you." Notably, Rajal, who has been tagged in the post is the senior producer of the Indian cricket team and is currently in England with the Men in Blue.

KL Rahul missed out on India's squad for WTC final

KL Rahul, who was also a member of India's 20-man squad for the England tour, was left out of the side's final 15 for the World Test Championship final against New Zealand that Virat Kohli and company eventually lost by 8 wickets. Given that Wriddhiman Saha is also in the squad with first-choice wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant available, it would be really tough for the Karnataka batter to get a chance in the upcoming 5-match Test series against England, starting August 4. It is worth noting that Team India are currently out of the bio-bubble for a break before coming back and preparing for the upcoming series.
