Former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar has made a big statement regarding the ongoing T20 World Cup. The Rawalpindi Express claimed that T20 World Cup 2021 is being organized so that Pakistan wins it. Pakistan defeated Namibia by 45 runs on Wednesday evening and secured their semifinals berth in the ongoing T20 World Cup. Pakistan have now claimed 4 successive victories over India, New Zealand, Afghanistan and Namibia.

Even though Pakistan are the favourites to clinch the T20 World Cup 2021 alongside England, Shoaib Akhtar's controversial statement will definitely raise a few eyebrows. The pacer also spoke about Pakistan's performance on his YouTube channel and praised Babar and Rizwan for their "opening masterclass". After opting to bat, Pakistan posted a formidable total of 189/2 on the board with openers Babar Azam (70) and Mohammad Rizwan (79*) stitching their second 100+ partnership of the tournament.

Akhtar said in the video, "Another victory for Pakistan, the team is moving in a strong and positive direction. Pakistan has a greater chance of winning this World Cup and this World Cup is taking place so that Pakistan can win it."

The Rawalpindi Express further picked England as the main threat to Pakistan's chances of winning the coveted trophy. He wrote on Twitter, "Another win for Pakistan. Going strong and positive. Start preparing for teams of other group now. They can surprise us. Specially England."

Pakistan will now aim to maintain their unbeaten record against Scotland when the two sides meet on Sunday.
