However, their lower-order failed miserably as Oman bowlers fought back in the end. PNG openers Tony Ura and Lega Siaka went back to the pavilion without troubling the scorers against Oman and they could again face some difficulties against Scotland's swing bowling. Their hopes for this match will rest on Assad Vala and Charles Amini, who are the two best players in the PNG team.

A win against Papua New Guinea on Tuesday will put Scotland in the pole position to head to the Super 12s stage. As a result, the Scots will be eager to put in a good performance here. However, Papua New Guinea will also want to put in an improved show. But, it is hard to fathom anything other than a Scotland win on Tuesday afternoon.
