The overseas players and support staffs were forced to leave India earlier than expected because of the suspension of the 14th edition of the IPL due to rising cases of COVID-19 in the country.
While there is no confirmation about when the tournament will resume, it has been revealed that all the 14 England players are expected to miss the last 31 matches of the season.
After 29 games, it was all put to rest. Interestingly, it has now been suspended for indefinite period. There is no clarity whether we will witness the tournament again this year.
Although the tournament has been officially suspended, the authorities are trying their best to send the foreign players by the safest possible means.
