PV Sindhu is the only Indian shuttler remaining in the tournament as other badminton stars have been ousted.
In the semifinal, Sindhu will face Japan’s Saena Kawakami, who has defeated the World No. 10, Pornpawee Chochuwong.
Third-seeded Sindhu played a close game against Vietnam's world number 59 Thuy Ling Nguyen 19-21, 21-19, 21-18 in the women's singles competition.
Sindhu looked in complete control as she prevailed 21-15, 21-11 over Belgium world No. 36 Lianne Tan to set up a clash with Vietnam's Thuy Linh Nguyen.
Being the second last tournament before the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, the shuttler will be eager to take part in the event and get the desired momentum before the mega event.
