After a disappointing campaign in T20 World Cup 2021 for India, it looks like the Men in Blue are leaving no stones unturned in their preparations for the upcoming edition of the mega event. T20 World Cup 2022 is slated to take place in Australia from October 16 to November 13 and India have notably added another T20I bilateral series in order to gear up for the tournament.

As per reports, Cricket Ireland president Mr. Philip Black has given a confirmation about India touring Ireland to play couple of T20Is this summer.

India's current T20Is schedule for 2022

3-match series vs West Indies (Feb 12-20 in India)

3-match series vs Sri Lanka (Mar 13-18 in India)

5-match series vs South Africa (Jun 9-19 in India)

3-match series vs England (Jul 7-10 in England)

3-match series vs West Indies (Aug in West Indies)

Asia Cup 2022 (Aug-Sept in Sri Lanka)

With India's tour of England beginning on July 1 and ending on July 17, there is a possibility that matches between India and Ireland could take place either before or after the tour. Considering the fact that Men in Blue will be playing most of the matches at home ahead of World Cup down under, a couple of short-format games in different weather and pitches could prove to be a good form of practice to prepare for alien conditions in Australia.
