The Indian Premier League (IPL) is one of the biggest T20 Leagues in the world and it has been proven time and again. Even the greats of the game find it hard to perform in the tournament. Ajinkya Rahane, who once used to be at the top on the list of orange cup holders has been struggling for the past few seasons. IPL 2022 did not change much for the veteran batter as he failed in the third consecutive game.
After scoring a 34-ball 44 in the opening game for KKR against CSK, Rahane has failed to make it count in the next three games. In KKR’s game against RCB, Rahane could only manage 9 runs of 10 balls. In the third game of the season for him, the right-handed batter scored 12 runs off 11 balls. And today, he failed yet again as he departed after scoring 7 runs off 11 balls.
These consistent failures from Rahane did not go well with the Twitter users as they started demanding his sacking from the eleven. Users expressed their disappointment post dismissal of KKR opener.
If you think this is the worst opening pair in the tournament then wait for Aaron Finch to arrive.
