Mumbai Indians continue their below-par season with zero wins from eight straight games. But amidst this turmoil, a moment of celebration has arrived as their captain Rohit Sharma celebrates his 35th birthday on 30 April. The Hitman received countless wishes but the most special message was penned by his wife Ritika Sajdeh.

She posted a few pictures with Rohit and their daughter Samaira and captioned them, “Happiest birthday Rooo. Sammy and I love you so much. Thank you for being ours. Hakuna Matata.”

The post also got comments from former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh and wife of another Indian cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara, Puja Pabari wishing the Hitman happy birthday.

On Sharma’s Birthday, the MI are set to face Rajasthan Royals, who have been one of the most formidable teams this season. The 2008 champions have already defeated Mumbai once this season where Jos Butler scored an incredible century and was the key protagonist in the 23-run victory.

“He seemed a broken man,” Ian Bishop

Similarly, addressing this matchup, IPL commentator Ian Bishop talked about how Rohit Sharma seemed out of sorts after MI’s last defeat. As Bishop was commentating during the Lucknow Super Giants and Punjab Kings game, he said, “When I spoke to Rohit after the last game, he seemed a broken man, understandably. It is a franchise with a great pedigree. I think they need some personnel changes.”

Bishop then expressed how MI could use Tim David in their lineup as he adds some all-round pedigree to the team. He then also talked about the bowling struggles of Mumbai as they leaked a lot of runs.

“Personally, I think they need Tim David. I don't know why he hasn't featured more often. They need someone in that batting lineup to get them to a more significant score to hold things, and maybe power up. Obviously, Suryakumar Yadav has been playing well,” he continued.
