The last award of the night goes to Cristiano Ronaldo! The Portuguese receives the award for breaking the all-time record of most number of goals scored in men's international football. He went past Iran's Ali Daei (109) by scoring the record-breaking 110th goal in 2-1 win over Ireland in the FIFA 2022 World Cup European qualifier. Ronaldo currently has 115 goals to his name!

Notably, she was also adjudged as UEFA Women’s Player of the Year for 2020/21.

A dream team involving the best 11 players of the world, with respect to their performances in 2021, will also be revealed tonight. The side will consist of 1 goal-keeper, 3 defenders, 3 midfielders and 3 forwards which will be chosen according to the number of votes received. The final spot in the team will be taken by an outfield player (any position) with the next highest number of votes. Are you excited to see which players make it to the FIFA Best XI?
