With T20 cricket already attracting cricket fans across the world, the England and Wales Cricket Board decided to introduce an even shorter format of the game. The inaugural edition of England's new 100-ball format game, the Hundred, is set to begin on July 21. A total of eight teams, representing six different cities, will be taking part in the competition. The tournament will have both men's and women's teams playing simultaneously.

What will be the format?

The Hundred is a unique format with each team getting to play 100 balls in an innings. The tournament will follow the Round-Robin format which means that all eight teams will face each other once in the league stage. All sides will also get a bonus match with the team close to their region. The table topper after the league stage will advance to the finals while the teams at the second and third place will play each other to decide the second finalist.
