Battlefield 2042 has not received the love developers would have imagined while releasing it. Instead, fans look utterly disappointed with the absence of features in the game as promised by DICE and EA. Fans can be seen directly bashing the developers for their ignorant behaviour.
The developers tried to get some feedback from the disappointed fans but that has brought no significant changes in Battlefield 2042. As a result, the fans can be seen openly trolling the game on different platforms. One Reddit user looked so frustrated with the developers that he wrote “With my last breath, I curse DICE”.
Another user used a meme to describe the sentiments of the community as a whole. The Reddit user operating under the name u/Beginning-Camera-332 shared a GIF to describe what feedback the developers might have received from the fans. The texts on the gif read:
“Did BF2042 die painlessly?”
“To Shreds, you say.”
“How is the Fanbase holding up?”
“To Shreds, you say.”
Few other users also joined by expressing their opinions and what they thought about the entire matter. One of the users hoped that there will be a slight rise in the player base when Battlefield 2042 enters the Xbox Game Pass via EA Play. However, he claimed that it will soon die down, and the community itself is quite small. The user also finds it quite embarrassing that some indie games now have more followers.
I expect to see a small uptick once it comes to Gamepass, but it’ll very likely die off in the coming months. The fan base can’t get much smaller than it already is. There are indie games with larger followings lol,” the user wrote.
However, there were some fans who also hoped for the game to make a redemption. “I hope the game gets a comeback but at this point I doubt it,” wrote a user.
