After clinching the three-match T20I against England, team India continued to dominate the hosts in the 50-over format. The ongoing first ODI between India and England has been a disappointing affair for the hosts. After being invited to bat first, England's top-order succumbed to India's pace attack as four of the batters were out on a duck and the hosts managed to score just 110/10 in 25.2 overs.

England's below-par performance continued right from the second over as Jasprit Bumrah bowled the opener Jason Roy on a duck, followed by Indian bowlers dismissing the batters in quick intervals and putting England in a tough situation. After Roy, legendary batter Joe Root was another batter who could not even open his account as Bumrah hunted him down after two deliveries.

England's horrific show with the bat continued as Ben Stokes (0 off 1), Jonny Bairstow (7 off 20), and Liam Livingstone (0 off 8) could not rescue England from India's lethal pace attack.

While England was struggling to find some momentum, skipper Jos Buttler (30 off 32) and Moeen Ali (14 off 18) tried to best to add valuable runs on board, before both were dismissed by Mohammed Shami and Prasidh Krishna, respectively. England's poor show inspired the meme world as they were quick to pull England cricket team for bowing down against India's bowling attack. Check out some interesting tweets below.

For India, Jasprit Bumrah picked six wickets while Mohammed Shami hunted down three of England batters in the first innings of the match. Prasidh Krishna too picked a wicket but a prized one as he dismissed Moeen Ali in the 13.5 overs.
