"Ratings don't last, Good journalism does", Dan Rather, one of the most reputed journalists in the world once said. It is indeed a fact. Sensational news can grab eyeballs for a while but it's the truth that stays in people's minds at the end of the day. So, it is better to stay true rather than be first. But sadly, a few journalists don't understand this simple fact and are maligning the whole community.

A recent allegation made by cricketer Wriddhiman Saha has taken every sports journalist by shock. The India cricketer has shared a screenshot of messages he has received from a journalist asking him for an interview. Saha on Saturday shared the image on his Twitter and wrote "After all of my contributions to Indian cricket..this is what I face from a so called “Respected” journalist! This is where the journalism has gone."

As it can be seen from the messages, the journalist first tries to convince Saha for an interview with him/her. But after the cricketer does not respond, he/she starts threatening him about the consequences.

This allegation from Saha found some support and Twitter users asked the wicketkeeper batter to stay strong. Some sports journalists also came forward to apologize to Saha for such behavior.
