UFC Lightweight fighter Tony Ferguson is gearing up for his clash with Michael Chandler in July (reportedly) this year. The American MMA fighter has trained with the greats of the game in his career so far and will try to bring in all the experience when he faces Chandler. Despite being an established name in the UFC circuit, Ferguson is taking nothing for granted and wants to give everything in his next fight.

Ferguson's training routine has been a talk of the town for so long. He has trained with multiple big names in the industry including WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar. It was Lesnar who trained Ferguson for TUF season 13 which aired in 2011. Ferguson was a part of Brock Lesnar’s team which went up against Team dos Santos at the tournament. Under the training of Lesnar, Tony Ferguson went on to climb the ladders at TUF 13 and even won the tournament. Ever since his TUF stint, Ferguson has ensured to stay in touch with Lesnar and with a big fight coming up, he may once again turn towards the WWE Superstar for some crucial advice.

Apart from Brock Lesnar, Tony Ferguson has trained with some other big names like Freddie Roach. He has also worked with boxing Olympian Pepe Reilly. The American fighter also has not shied away from taking help from his college coach Dave Mill as well as UFC veteran Ben Saunders. More than working with them, he added the duo to his cornermen.

Daniel Cormier looking forward to Ferguson-Chandler fight

Everyone is looking forward to the fight between Tony Ferguson and Michael Chandler. Daniel Cormier is also among those names. The American fighter can not wait to see Tony Ferguson's next fight against Chandler in the Octagon. While he was all praise for Chandler or delivering entertaining performances against elite fighters since joining the UFC, Cormier also feels that Ferguson is at a stage where he should fight only big names.

"I know Michael Chandler and Tony Ferguson have been kind of going back and forth, I mean that is a fight you'd like to see. That would be a fun one if Tony and Chandler fought, it would be a good time because we've seen Chandler involved in wars from Bellator all the way to his fight with Justin Gaethje recently. Him and Tony Ferguson together would make magic and I think that's the type of fight that Chandler should get now because now he's only had big fights, he doesn't deserve anything less. I think for Tony Ferguson, for his resume, for his career, he needs to keep having those big match-ups that match his standing in the sport of mixed-martial-arts now," Cormier told Helen Yee.
