After hattrick of defeats, Sunrisers Hyderabad finally bounced back in IPL 2021 with an emphatic win over Punjab Kings at Chepauk. David Warner's side produced a dominant display right from the beginning and handed PBKS their third defeat of the season.
It was KL Rahul who won the toss on Wednesday as he opted to bat first. The SRH bowlers took advantage of the hot Chennai conditions and produced a scintillating show. While Khaleel Ahmed (3/21) continued his impressive form that he showed in the previous contest, it was the spin duo of Rashid Khan (1/17) and Abhishek Sharma (2/24), who did not allow the batsmen to settle.
It was a horrific batting display as PBKS were bowled out on 120. In reply, David Warner (37 off 37) and Jonny Bairstow (63* off 56) ensured that Sunrisers Hyderabad won't suffer another collapse while chasing. In the end, the cool head of Kane Williamson was enough to guide the Orange Army to their first win of the season.
