The match no. 13 in Indian Premier League witnessed another low-scoring contest in Chennai which went to the last over. However, it was a slightly different case for Mumbai Indians as they failed to defend a below-par score this time around as Delhi Capitals broke their 5-match losing streak against the defending champions.

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, skipper Rohit Sharma (44off 30) got his side off to a steady start. But it was the Amit Mishra show that followed after that as his brilliant spell of 4/24 brought Rishabh Pant's side back into the contest. MI suffered a dramatic collapse, something they are not known for, as they managed a modest total of 137/9 after the end of 20 overs.

In reply, the Delhi side lost the early wicket of opener Prithvi Shaw. However, the experienced duo of Shikhar Dhawan (45 off 42) and Steve Smith (33 off 29) showed utmost resilience on a difficult batting track at Chepauk. In the end, Lalit Yadav (22* off 25) played a smart knock to take Delhi over the line in 19.1 overs, handing the defending champions their second defeat of the season.

While it was quite a closely-fought contest, even 5-time champions Mumbai Indians could not get away from the trolls after a poor performance. Twitterati came out with some rib-tickling memes on MI's batting collapse and hailed Delhi for finally getting a win over Rohit Sharma's side.
