DC vs PBKS

After a few low-scoring thrillers in last few days, the first double-header of the season produced two high-scoring contests for the fans on Sunday. While KKR failed to chase the mammoth target against RCB, Delhi Capitals were certainly not in any mood to lose back-to-back games. Rishabh Pant’s side produced an emphatic performance with the bat as they hunted down the 196-run target in only 18.2 overs, with 6 wickets remaining.

To begin the proceedings at Wankhede, it was a special batting performance from KL Rahul (61 off 51) and Mayank Agarwal (69 off 36) to set up a solid platform. They completely dominated the star overseas bowling line-up of Delhi Capitals, with Kagiso Rabada (1/43) and Chris Woakes (1/42) leaking a lot of runs.

In reply, it was the Gabbar show in Mumbai as Shikhar Dhawan went on to play a mesmerizing knock of 92 runs off 49 deliveries. Surprisingly, Mohammed Shami (0/53) had a rare bad outing as he looked completely clueless against the Delhi batting.

While it wasn’t a great day for Punjab Kings, especially with Maxwell also scoring runs in the first match, it was kind of a perfect day for the netizens who did not miss any opportunity to roll-out some hilarious and rib-tickling memes on this contest.
