Virat Kohli is reportedly said to miss out the upcoming ODI series against South Africa to celebrate his daughter’s first birthday. His absence from India’s South Africa tour in the ODI series has got multiple reactions from the Twitterati. Ever since, Kohli was sacked from ODI captaincy several reports have been doing the rounds regarding Kohli didn’t take the news so well and was miffed with the decision of the All India Senior Selection Committee. However, in a surprising turn of events, today on December 14, a news broke citing sources that Kohli will be missing the ODI series against South Africa as he will be taking some time off from the field to spend some quality time with family in order to celebrate his daughter’s birthday.
Notably, the ODI series will be Sharma’s first assignment as the full time skipper of white-ball format. However, Rohit Sharma has been ruled out of Test series due to a hamstring injury, and has been replaced by Priyank Panchal.
