Chris Gayle on Tuesday became the first cricketer in the world to score 14000 runs in T20 cricket. The West Indian batsman achieved the landmark with a match-winning half-century against Australia in the 3rd T20I, which helped his side beat Australia by six wickets and seal the five-match series.

Notably, it was the 41-year-old’s highest score in T20 international since 2016. Gayle smashed four consecutive boundaries off Josh Hazlewood’s deliveries, scoring 18 runs from the over. He later went on to take 22 runs off Adam Zampa’s over, completing his half-century with a third successive six before falling to Riley Meredith.

Twitter was in awe after witnessing another match-winning knock from the 'Universe Boss'.
