Argentine legend and Paris Saint-Germain’s new signing Lionel Messi has finally scored his first goal for the Paris club on Tuesday as PSG defeated Manchester City by 2-0 in a UEFA Champions League match. Messi was back for Mauricio Pochettino's side after missing two games due to knee injury and he made the fans roaring for the Argentine forward, who netted the ball through his left foot and scored first of his many strikes for the Parc des Princes club.

In the game, PSG were 1-0 up after the first half as midfielder Idrissa Gueye opened the scoring sheet in the eighth minute itself. Messi was running with the ball in the 74th minute and gave a pass to Kylian Mbappe, who returned it back to Messi just outside the City’s box. The 34-year-old Messi then scored with his left foot in a single touch to find the top left of the goal.

After the goal, Twitter was full of reactions. From celebrities to media houses to fans, all went tweeting on the goal of the PSG forward Messi. A twitter user tweeted a video of the goal and wrote, “Seeing Messi’s first goal for PSG from the stands is insane.” Another twitter user wrote, “Messi scores his first PSG goal and proves that class is permanent.”
