Team India registered a clinical win against Sri Lanka in the 2nd Test in Bangalore and grabbed the series 2-0. Team India needed 9 wickets at the start of Day 3 to win the game but Sri Lanka gave a fightback in the first session and counter attacked India's bowlers. However, India's veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin provided the first breakthrough of the day as he dismissed the set Kusal Mendis. The wicket then opened the gates as Team India kept taking wickets at regular interval and at the end cliched a comfortable win. Sri Lanka's skipper Dimuth Karunaratne was the star for the side as he scored a fighting century.

Although there were many memorable moments in the game, the one that caught the eye was Team India's gesture after dismissing Sri Lankan pacer Suranga Lakmal. Jasprit Bumrah castled the stumps of the bowler but rather than celebrating the wicket the Indian pacer ran towards Lakmal and congratulated him on his last international innings. Skipper Rohit Sharma, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja too wished the pacer and shook hands with the Sri Lankan veteran.

Twitter was moved by this gesture and congratulated Suranga Lakmal for a fantastic career.
