One of the most natural things in the Indian Premier League has been the players looking up to their mentors, the player that they have looked forward for guidance. Ahead of the match 8 between Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings, a same sight was spotted when Deepak Chahar touched the feet of Mohammed Shami.

As the players from both the teams took the ground to warm their sleeves up, Mohammed Shami was in conversation with Suresh Raina and Imran Tahir, when Deepak Chahar obliged the ‘Indian Tradition’ by touching the feet of his idol.

Here is the moment:

Talking about Deepak Chahar, he has so far looked exceptional with his bowling performance particularly in the powerplay. Chahar dismissed Mayank Agarwal, Chris Gayle and Nicholas Pooran within the first 6 overs, giving only 13 runs. Having the confidence and momentum going, MS Dhoni handed Chahar the opportunity to bowl his 4th over in a row. Wherein he stood on his skippers' expectations and dismissed Deepak Hooda with a maiden over.

After the loss in their first encounter against Delhi capitals, CSK would look to bounce back after a dreadful 2020 season. Given that this could be MS Dhoni’s last appearance in the cash-rich league, CSK would be hoping to hit the ground running as they have put Punjab Kings to bat.

It looks like CSK will continue to stamp their authority on PBKS as the former team won both their encounters against Punjab Kings in the previous editions as well. One by 10 wickets and the latter by 9.
