Twitter reacts as AB de Villiers announces retirement from all forms of cricket

AB de Villiers had retired from international cricket in May 2018, but played in franchise T20 competitions around the globe. ABD played 114 Tests, 228 ODIs and 78 T20Is for the Proteas.

South African legend AB de Villiers announced retirement from all forms of cricket earlier today, which has made the cricketing world and the fans a little emotional as 'Mr. 360' won’t be seen in cricketing action from now on. Although, ABD announced his retirement from international cricket back in 2018, he played franchise T20 cricket including the IPL.

Fans across the world, especially Indian cricket fans have expressed their disappointment of not being able to see ABD-Virat duo now during the Indian Premier League in the Red & Gold jersey. It’s undoubtedly heartbreaking for the world of cricket that a legend like AB is retiring from the game.
