It is often not the case that Andre Russell is in the mood to cause a havoc and ends up on the losing side. But it was surely going to be the case on Wednesday as the KKR and IPL fans witness the most unfortunate way to see Andre Russell go back to the pavilion. Even though the West Indian all-rounder gave his all scoring 54 runs in 22 balls, his dismissal made Twitterati sympathize with him.

From KKR being 31/5 in the 6th over to scoring 80 runs in the next 36 balls, Andre Russell squeezed the best of his form to bring KKR back into the game against CSK.

After letting a ball bowled on the pads, Andre Russell shuffled way too across his stumps only to see his bails flying in the air on the bowling of Sam Curran. As Russell hunted down every CSK bowler he faced, his dismissal just made all of us realize what a cruel game cricket is.

The Caribbean all-rounder was so sad with his dismissal that he sat down at the staircase for more than 45 minutes. Melting down after watching a broken Russell at the stairs, Twitterati took the microblogging website by storm to sympathize the legendary hitter.

Take a look at the tweets here-

After Russell, even Dinesh Karthik couldn’t turn up the heat enough getting out on a well-made 40 off 24 balls. But to make a change Pat Cummins thrashed Sam Curran for 30 runs in the 16th over and kept KKR in the game. However, a run-out eventually sealed the last-over thriller in CSKs favour.
