Punjab Kings has so far had a forgettable season in the Indian Premier League. While Punjab Kings continue to struggle, their West Indian southpaw, Nicholas Pooran is yet to come under his usual limelight. Pooran's poor form with the bat continued in the ongoing clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore as went on to register his 4th duck of the 2021 IPL season.
Nicholas Pooran came in to bat when Chris Gayle and KL Rahul had provided a good platform to Punjab. While Pooran had ample amount of time he faced the 6’8 pace-bowler, Kyle Jamieson in the 12th over. While Jamieson bowled a length ball, the bounce seemed to have deceived Pooran completely. As a result, the ball hit the top of his bat to give Shahbaz Ahmed a pretty easy catch to cling onto.
With the ICC Men’s no. 1 T20 Player, David Malan sitting in the Kings dugout, this could be Pooran’s last chance to make any impression in the 14th edition of the IPL. As Nicholas Pooran secured his 4th duck of the IPL 2021 season, Twitterati lashed the West Indian batsman without any delay.
