South Africa have reached a dominant position in the ongoing Test match against West Indies. While they dismissed the hosts for 97 on Day 1 of the opening Test at St Lucia, thanks to efforts from Lungi Ngidi and Anrich Nortje who picked nine wickets between themselves, they have now managed a whopping 225-run lead in the first innings, thanks to an unbeaten hundred from Proetas wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock. The South African star scored 141 from 170 deliveries, with his innings studded with 12 fours and 7 sixes.

Apart from De Kock, only Aiden Markram managed to breach the 50-run mark, scoring 60 from 110 deliveries as South Africa eventually finished with 322. The Proteas will now look to bowl them out under 225 and register an innings-win.

Following Quinton's performance, reactions have been pouring in from all corners.
