Test cricket has often been dominated by home sides over the years across the globe but things went slightly upside down on Saturday. Two of the biggest powerhouses of 5-day cricket - England and West Indies - had a shocking day with the bat during their encounters against New Zealand and South Africa, respectively. Historically known for outplaying their opponents at home, both sides suffered a horror batting collapse. While Kraigg Braithwaite's side bundled out on 162, handing the Proteas a huge win, Joe Root's side collapsed to 122/9 after conceding an 85-run lead in the first innings.

Fans slam both sides for their horrific display

The fans were certainly not happy with the horrendous display of batting by both the West Indies and England, especially considering they are playing at home. While some people started comparing which among the two sides were worse, the others just admitted that both of the batting displays were equally disappointing. There was a fan who summed up both the matches as he stated, "Listless batting performances by the home teams."

The netizens trolled both sides and claimed that there is enough time left to conduct a match between England and the West Indies, considering the recent batting form of both sides. While the fans blasted West Indies for losing out the Test inside three days, Twitterati also did not miss the opportunity to mock Joe Root's side for failing with the bat at home, reflecting on the fact that they blamed the pitches in India for their poor batting performances.
