Twitterati in splits as batter forgets to wear pads during match, video goes viral

Cricket fans have witnessed many bloopers on the field. Be it dropped catches, hilarious run-outs, cricket never fails to entertain the fans. Another hilarious clip has now surfaced that will be entering this pantheon of the funniest cricketing bloopers of all time.Β 

The video was from a club cricket match in the UK, where a batter walked out to bat without wearing his pads. After realising his mistake, the batter ran back to the dugout as one of the opposition players and the umpire are seen having a laugh about the same. The star of the video is Martin Hughes who plays for Southend Civic Cricket Club.

The video has gone viral ever since. The clip has received over 11,000 likes with more than 1,200 retweets.
