Reigning European Champions Portugal and Germany both showed faith in their preferred starting XI from their previous games and fielding unchanged lineups for their crunch Euro 2020 match in Munich. While Germany desperately wants to get off the mark on the points tally in Group F against Portugal, the current champions have already set one foot in the last 16.

However, it wasn’t the best of starts for Germany as it was the talisman Cristiano Ronaldo who put his team in the front by scoring in the 15th minute of the match. But his good work was soon outdone in the first half itself as Portugal scored two own goals, both of them in the first half itself, to go 2-1 down inside 45 minutes. While Ruben Dias was the culprit at the 35th minute, Raphael Guerreiro did a Dias four minutes later.

Following the bizarre run of play, Twitter has gone berserk and shared some hilarious thoughts.

Have a look at some of the reactions here:

Germany is currently leading 4-1 against Portugal and are likely to open their account in the Euro 2020.
