Two bookies have been arrested for entering Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on May 2, during the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad. The bookies illegally entered the stadium using fake accreditation cards. As a result, they were arrested for the fraud and sent to police remand for five days.

"Two bookies arrested and sent to judicial custody for getting fake accreditation cards & entering Arun Jaitley Stadium illegally on May 2 during IPL match between Rajasthan Royals & SunRisers Hyderabad. FIR registered under relevant sections of IPC and Epidemic Diseases Act," news agency ANI tweeted.

The match between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad turned out to be the penultimate match of the season before IPL 2021 was suspended indefinitely. Royals defeated Sunrisers by 55 runs as Rajasthan Royals opener Jos Buttler smashed a wonderful 124 off just 64-balls. The match was the first of the two games played on Sunday before the season was postponed indefinitely owing to several COVID-19 cases emerging from inside the bio-bubble.
