Umar Akmal posts video on internet, laughs on his own performance

Umar Akmal is set to return to competitive cricket after completion of his rehabilitation programme.

Pakistan cricketer Umar Akmal has been active on social media after completion of his reduced 12 months ban. Akmal was handed 3-year ban in February 2020 for failing to report multiple approaches of corruption. The Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) later reduced the ban, imposing a fine of Pakistani Rupee 4.25 million.

The 30-year-old shared a video on the internet lately , where he can be seen hymning to one of his favourite songs.

However, fans and followers did leave a heartfelt comment to Akmal’s post, he himself was seen laughing at his performance. Umar Akmal left a comment with ‘Face of Tears of Joy’ emoji. Also, out of the 27K+ followers who reacted on his post, 18K only were left laughing.

After returning from the ban, Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal said that he can’t wait to see his brother Umar back on the cricket field.
