Sunrisers Hyderabad may have lost the hard-fought battle against Gujarat Titans on Wednesday at iconic Wankhede Stadium, but pace sensation Umran Malik starred in the game for his unprecedented abilities to bowl 150 kmph plus pace regularly and for picking five wickets in the second innings. Malik has taken centre stage since the start of the tournament and has been regarded as the find of the tournament.

With his incredible performance on Wednesday, Malik became only the fifth Indian uncapped bowler to claim five wickets in the Indian Premier League. Malik's consistency with the pace of 150 kmph added with the ability to take wickets has inspired many to demand his inclusion in the national squad, and many have even asked BCCI to provide him with a visa for T20 World Cup scheduled in Australia, later this year.

Amongst many who seemed impressed with Malik's pace was senior Congress leader and former Finance Minister P Chidambaram. Taking to Twitter, the minister wrote, "The Umran Malik hurricane is blowing away everything in its way. The sheer pace and aggression are a sight to behold. After today's performance, there can be no doubt that he is the find of this edition of IPL."

The senior Congress leader also suggested that BCCI provide him with an exclusive coach and quickly induct him into the national squad. "The BCCI should give him an exclusive coach and quickly induct him into the national team," another tweet mentioned.

Earlier, another Congress leader Shashi Tharoor also expressed his opinion on Malik as he tweeted, "We need him in India colours asap. What a phenomenal talent. Blood him before he burns out! Take him to England for the Test match greentop. He and Bumrah bowling in tandem will terrify the Angrez!"

Notably, Umran Malik has picked up 15 wickets this season and is only behind Yuzvendra Chahal in the race for the Purple Cap. Despite his team ending up on the losing side, Malik walked away with the Player of the Match award for his excellent effort.
