England batter Jos Buttler had an incredible IPL 2022 season. The Rajasthan Royals opener shattered several batting records during his participation in the recently concluded cash-rich league and etched down his name in the history books of the T20 competition. Buttler glorified his form with four-century knocks in one season and amassed 863 runs.

Buttler's 863 is now the second-highest single-season tally in IPL history after Virat Kohli's 973-run season in 2016. Although Buttler could not guide Rajasthan to win the prestigious title after failing to score big in the summit clash, the England star batter delivered instrumental performances throughout the competition and emerged as one of the most impactful players.

Interestingly, Buttler scored 89 off 56 and 106 off 60 deliveries in the playoff stages to help Rajasthan reach the final. Days after the conclusion of the month-long tournament, Buttler has looked back at his IPL 2022 journey and expressed his gratitude to the franchise, support staff, teammates, and fans for supporting him throughout the highly competitive contest.

Taking to Twitter, Buttler shared a picture of himself and wrote a special message for everyone. He wrote, "Thank you to everyone involved with the @rajasthanroyals from teammates, support staff and especially all fans!" He further stated that he is extremely proud of his achievements and that IPL 2022 was a memorable season for him. "It has been a memorable season played in great spirit and a lot of fun! I am very proud of my achievements this season and thank everyone who has helped me through the tournament and look forward to building on it next year as we look to go that one step further!"

A 31-year-old batter who returned with an orange cap after scoring the most runs in the season congratulated the Gujarat franchise for their title triumph. Gujarat Titans thrashed Rajasthan Royals by 7-wickets in the summit clash at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
