Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are not having the best time in their cricketing career. The two batting giants of Indian cricket are going through a slump in regard to their batting form. Both the batters have failed to live up to the expectations in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). While Kohli has struggled to play his shots freely Rohit Sharma has not been able to convert his starts into a big score. This lean patch for both batters is not sitting well with experts and media.

Both Rohit and Kohli are being trolled for failing consistently. However, some greats of the game have continuously backed the duo to come back stronger and create an impact. Former Pakistan speedster Wasim Akram has also given it back to the trolls and has backed Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to come good in the recent future.

Akram has said that both Rohit and Kohli are great players and one bad tournament or series cannot reduce their skills. The Former Pakistan captain also imposed faith in the duo and set that they are just one inning away from gaining back their form.

"Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are great players. Both are on peak now. One bad tournament doesn't mean their class, their skill, their talent has reduced. This is just temporary and I am saying both will come in form very soon, just one innings away," said Akram.

Notably, Virat Kohli has registered three golden ducks in IPL 2022 and has aggregated only 216 runs in 12 games with only one half-century. His strike rate has also gone down. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma has looked good till his stay in the middle but has failed to score big. He is yet to get a 50+ score this season.
