In the wake of COVID-19 crisis, Team India skipper Virat Kohli along with wife Anushka Sharma have come up with a great initiative amid the current COVID-19 crisis. Although, the IPL couldn’t continue for long after being hit with COVID despite being in the bio-bubble, the players have returned to their respective home countries safely.

Skipper Kohli & wife Anushka took to social media and posted a video to share about their fundraiser campaign. The couple urged the fans to join the initiative and donate for the cause.

Virat and Anushka donate 2 crore for the COVID relief fund

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have started a fundraising initiative #InThisTogether to raise Rs 7 crore for Covid relief in India. Notably, the two have donated Rs 2 crore towards the fund on the crowdfunding platform - Ketto. Virat and Anushka have urged the people to come forward and join the movement, by donating for the cause. The couple also shared where one can do the donations for this campaign. Talking about it, they said that donations can be made on Ketto, under the name - #InThisTogether.  The two have further mentioned that no amount is too small to save lives and urged the fans and followers to do their part to fight against Covid-19.

With respect to the #InThisTogether fundraising initiative, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have also changed their social media display pictures to a thumbnail of the #InThisTogether Campaign to reflect their support.

However, Virat also appreciated the health care workers and the frontline workforce who are dedicatedly working towards fighting this pandemic. He further mentioned that in these trying times, we must come together and help India battle against the pandemic, which is only possible if the people come together and help each other to keep the country safe and strong.
