The Indian Premier League (IPL) has realised many a dreams. Not only has it provided life-changing money to the domestic cricketers often struggling to make ends meet, it has also helped uncapped players to have a sneak peek into international cricket. Players now get an opportunity to share dressing rooms with the likes of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and AB de Villiers even before they have earned their international cap. One such story unfolded even in the limited matches of IPL that happened in April-May.

While the Kerala batsman Mohammed Azharuddeen could not make it to the Royal Challengers Bangalore's first XI as it was packed with star-studded names, his biggest take away would undoubtedly be sharing the change room with India skipper and modern day great Virat Kohli. Although he had earlier revealed on SportsTiger how he couldn't believe that Kohli had himself texted him after RCB picked him in the players auction in February, he has now said that he will get a Kohli autographed jersey framed.

The opportunity to get the jersey signed obviously came his way during the IPL 2021 campaign which was suspended midway. Sharing a pic where he could be seen asking Kohli to sign their green jersey for him, he wrote, "Going to get this jersey framed."

5 wins from 7 matches for RCB in IPL 2021

Although the tournament this year stands suspended, Bangalore were looking pretty solid till the time the competition was postponed. In 7 matches, the Kohli-led side had stitched 5 dominating wins and were sitting comfortably in the top-half of the points table. It remains to be seen if the BCCI manages to conduct the remainder of the matches this year.
