MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings outplayed Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets in the second leg of IPL 2021. CSK, who had dominated over the opponent also in the first half of the season by handing them a 69-run loss, showed amazing character to come back in the game and eventually seal the encounter in their favour to go on top of points table, replacing Delhi Capitals.

On the other hand, Virat Kohli’s RCB suffered their third loss on the trot this season. RCB were one of the table-toppers in the first phase of the competition and now they have almost got a wake-up call with the defeats. However, none of the problems seemed to be troubling Kohli when he met former India skipper and current CSK captain MS Dhoni before and after the game.

It is an open secret that Dhoni and Virat share a great camaraderie since the latter’s time under the former’s captaincy in India team. Dhoni passed on his responsibilities to Kohli slowly and gradually, years before calling time on his international career. Kohli, himself, has openly credit Dhoni for the help and guidance the latter showed to the then young India skipper. These all have only strengthened the bond between the Indian duo throughout the years. An example of the strong relationship between the players was evident on the ground after Kohli was caught on camera hugging MS Dhoni on pavilion end after the game on Friday. Notably, at the time of toss as well, Kohli was spotted putting his arm around Dhoni’s shoulder with the two sharing some quality time together.

The pictures of both the legendary India captains sharing hugs and happy moments with each other went viral on social media in no time with the Twitterati praising the duo and their bond.

Here are some of the pictures:

Talking about the game, Virat Kohli scored 53 off 41 balls, while MS Dhoni stayed unbeaten on 11 runs off 9 balls to help CSK win the game by 6 wickets.
