The 27th match of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is underway at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). After being put in to bat first, RCB put 189 runs on the board on the back of an incredible inning from their experienced campaigner Dinesh Karthik.

However, DC opener Davin Warner seemed to be making it troublesome for RCB bowlers with some serious hitting in the middle. The southpaw batter hit a quickfire half-century and kept the scoreboard running. He was even picking Harshal Patel really well as he smashed him for a huge six over the deep midwicket region.

But when things started going off the hook, Faf du Plessis introduced Wanindu Hasaranga to break the partnership between Mitchell Marsh and David Warner. And the leggies did not disappoint his captain as he accounted for Warner on the third delivery of the 12th over. Warner was trapped LBW while he tried to play the reverse sweep.

With a big wicket in the bag, RCB celebrated ferociously, especially Virat Kohli. The former RCB captain who is generally quiet these days was seen in his old avatar as he screamed in anger at Warner's face after the third umpire asked the on-field umpire to overturn the decision to out.

Bangalore win!

On the back of some good performances, RCB registered their fourth win in the tournament. They beat DC by 16 runs to earn two more points and take the tally to eight. It was a clinical performance from the Faf du Plessis-led team in all departments. First Dinesh Karthik, Glenn Maxwell, and Shahbaz Ahmad propelled RCB to a good total. Then Wanindu Hasaranga, Josh Hazlewood, and Mohammed Siraj did it with the ball for them.
