The ICC World Test Championship final is less than 10 days away and both India and New Zealand are already looking forward to it. While New Zealand are in the middle of a Test series against hosts England, Team India are already at Southampton, the venue for the summit clash, are preparing for the big match. It is a massive moment in the history of Indian cricket, especially for India captain Virat Kohli. While the right-handed batsman has built his reputation as one of the finest batsmen of the modern-day game across formats, he also boasts of an impressive record as the captain of his team.

However, for some reason, he has failed to lead India to an ICC Trophy yet. And now with just one Test separating him and the elusive ICC cup, he would be determined more than ever before to score big and take India to glory. Even as Indian fans continued to hope for this, there were rumours suggesting that Kohl had, in fact, sustained an injury which might rule him out for weeks.

No official reports corroborating Kohli's injury

It was being circulated on social media and via other non-verified sources that Kohli had been hit by a Mohammed Shami delivery at the nets, which will not allow him to take the field at least for the all-important clash. However, there have been no official reports corroborating the same and such talks could be dismissed as mere rumours.

Indian fans would hope that Kohli gets to lift the trophy when the Test Championship finale ends on June 22.
