Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli has not been able to reach the three-digit mark for over 950 days in an international match. Till 2019, Virat Kohli was considered unstoppable and terms like 'run machine' were used to define his then form, which left even the best of the bowlers in the world, clueless.

Kohli, who was once looking set to break Sachin Tendulkar's batting records of most runs on the international stage and most number of centuries, has shockingly surpassed the master blaster's wait of 369 days to reach the 100th century. Kohli's Test average has dropped below 50 for the first time since 2017 and voices against his inclusion in the squad speak volumes of Kohli's struggle with the bat despite his overall amazing numbers.

While, the whole cricket fraternity is desperately waiting for Virat Kohli to hit a century and treat his fans with his run-machine avatar, one of Kohli's admirers was seen distributing food to hungry people and children wishing for Kohli's 71st century. The picture of the same has gone viral on social media.

Speaking of the Indian batter, he missed the first ODI due to a groin injury and remains doubtful for the second match. After a disappointing IPL season, Virat continued his poor form on the international stage as he could only score 11 and 20 in both the innings of the fifth Test at Edgbaston. His below per performance was evident in the shortest format as he scored 1 and 11 in two T20Is against England.

While many retired cricketers have raised questions over Kohli's inclusion in the squad, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has backed the Indian batter and claimed that the team will continue to back him as he has been an incredible performer for several years. Meanwhile, Virat has reportedly opted for a break for the West Indies tour and will not participate either in the ODIs or in the T20Is.
