Former India and Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli pulled off an absolute screamer against the Delhi Capitals to dismiss their captain Rishabh Pant on Saturday. As Mohammed Siraj bowled a full-toss in the seventeenth over, Pant sliced the ball but Kohli on the edge of the circle was ready. He jumped and held on to an incredible one-handed catch.
The fans at the Wankhede Stadium roared to celebrate Virat Kohli’s incredible feat especially after failing to score big in the first innings. The Delhi-born superstar scored just 12 runs off 14 balls before being run-out by Lalit Yadav. Fans also showered love on social media and pulled out a video posted by the 34-year-old that talks about his commitment to fitness which helps him attempt such catches.
The tweet had a video where Virat Kolhi is seen doing strength training and was captioned, “The difference between a good attempt and a good catch is the work you do in the gym – Shankar Basu. Thanks for imbibing the “get better by 1 per cent” attitude in me bassa sirrrr @basu2013 @Primal_Patterns.”

Dinesh Karthik’s superb half-century
As RCB were struggling at 75 for four in the ninth over, it was another great performance by Dinesh Karthik. The Tamil-Nadu born smashed a 66-run half-century in 34 balls with five fours and five sixes. Karthik also won the Player of the Match award for his performance and made his ambitions for playing in the national team public.
He said, “But I must admit that I have a bigger goal. I have been working really hard. I have been trying to do everything to be a part of the Indian team. Depends on the bowler, whoever is bowling well. I respected Kuldeep as he was bowling well. When you are batting at the death, you try and get under the ball more while hitting.”
“You make me sound like a serial killer (laughs when asked as to how was he so calm and hit them so hard at the same time). I must admit positions and calmness comes from preparations. Apart from that staying in the moment sounds cliched but it works”, he added.
