Harshal Patel wreaked havoc against Mumbai Indians on Sunday evening as he dismissed Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard and Rahul Chahar on three consecutive deliveries in the 17th over of the match. Yuzvendra Chahal also scalped a three-wicket haul as RCB defeated Mumbai Indians by 54 runs at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday. RCB now stands third in the points table with 12 points after six wins and four defeats.

After going wicket less in the first two overs of his spell, Harshal Patel returned in the 17th over to claim his first-ever hat-trick in the tournament. Both Haryana players Yuzvendra Chahal and Harshal Patel  played a vital role in helping RCB win their 1st match of the second phase of IPL 2021. Earlier, RCB  had posted 165/6 in their allotted 20 overs, thanks to half-centuries from skipper Virat Kohli and Maxwell.

Former India opener Virender Sehwag took to Twitter and lauded Patel and Chahal for their brilliant performances. Sehwag also opined that Team India will change their final 15-man squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup. As per the ICC rules, teams are also allowed to make changes in the squad till October 10th.

“Harshal Patel was spectacular and Yuzvendra Chahal showed why he is such a smart cricketer. Great win for @RCBTweets. Still see India tweaking the final 15 for the World Cup,” Sehwag wrote.

Sehwag urged Team India selectors to explain why Yuzvendra Chahal is not in the 15-member Indian squad selected for the T20 World Cup. Sehwag termed Chahal a street-smart bowler and said to Cricbuzz, “Chahal was bowling well in the past also. I can’t fathom why he was omitted from the T20 World Cup squad. The selectors should explain. It’s not like Rahul Chahar bowled extraordinarily in Sri Lanka. The way Chahal is bowling, he will be an asset for any side in T20 cricket.”
