David Miller once again proved his worth in the Gujarat Titans side as the southpaw played a gem of an innings and helped his team reach IPL 2022 Final. Miller scored an unbeaten 68 off just 38 balls to make a tough chase easy for Gujarat. Captain Hardik Pandya also chipped in with a crucial 40* off 27 balls. Both these batters put on a 106-run partnership for the 4th wicket and ensured a victory for GT.
Shubman Gill (35 off 21) and Matthew Wade (35 off 30) also played handy knocks. Earlier, Rajasthan put up 188/6 in their 20 overs on the back of a fine half-century from Jos Buttler (89 off 56). Sanju Samson also blasted 47 off 26 balls before perishing to Sai Kishore. With so many runs on the board, it looked RR will easily defend the total. But Gujarat showed why they acquired that top spot on the points table.
