Former India opener Wasim Jaffer is well known for sharing cryptic posts and memes on social media, leaving the fans and cricket enthusiast in splits. In a similar way, he did not refrain from replying to former England skipper Kevin Pietersen after England suffered a 5-wicket defeat to New Zealand in semi-final 1 of the T20 World Cup 2021.
On November 2, Kevin Pietersen had put a tweet stating England should be given the trophy seeing their performance in the tournament. He also said that Pakistan & Afghanistan are two sides who are capable of beating the Eoin Morgan-led team on the Sharjah pitch.
Check out his tweet here:
Only Pakistan or Afghanistan can beat England in this T20 World Cup. BUT and it’s a BIG BUT, the game would have to be played on a used wicket in Sharjah.
Anywhere else, just hand England the trophy like Chelsea should be handed the EPL trophy RIGHT NOW!
