Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer took a cheeky dig at former England captain Michael Vaughan. One such post came yesterday when Jaffer trolled Michael Vaughan on his prediction on Day 1 of the Lord’s Test.

Jaffer trolls Vaughan for his bowling prediction on Day 1 of the Lord's Test

Joe Root won the toss and opted to bowl first in the second Test, leaving the Men in Blue to bat. With rain delaying the start earlier, a lot of cricketers predicted bowlers to dominate the play on Day 1. A similar tweet came from former England skipper Michael Vaughan.

Vaughan earlier tweeted “Lovely day for bowling at lords… #ENGvIND”. To this former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer once again caught his fans in humour, replying to this tweet. At the end of Day 1, Jaffer shared a picture of Chris Gayle ringing a bell at the Eden Gardens. The netizens also couldn't resist this, with comments pouring in from all end.

It looked that the netizens were enjoying Jaffer’s post a lot and helped telling Vaughan that the prediction of bowling dominating the first day was a pure wrong one.

What was there on Day 1 at Lord’s?

England skipper Joe Root opted to bowl as the conditions at that time were overcast and it rained a bit before the toss. As the pitch had a tinge of greenery, it looked that the seamers will dominate the first day. But that was not the case as the result turned out to be something else. The Indian openers came out to bat, and played in a much disciplined way in the start. Both the openers stitched the opening stand of 126 runs as Rohit got out on 83. However, Rahul didn’t stop as he smashed a ton in the third session to help India dominate the day's play, finishing 276/3.
