Chennai Super Kings (CSK) could do no wrong on Tuesday evening. Apart from losing the toss, the defending champions got everything right. After posting the highest total of the season, Chennai got off to a great start in the second innings as well. They removed the opposition skipper Faf du Plessis really early in the innings.

Virat Kohli also could not do much as he perished to a fielding masterstroke from MS Dhoni. Glenn Maxwell showed some promise but just got bowled by the CSK skipper, once again. The young duo of Suyash Prabhudessai and Shabaz Ahmad did some recovery as they stitched a quick half-century stand.

But RCB kept losing wickets. In no time, Akash Deep was forced to come in the middle. But he could not stay for long as Ambati Rayudu probably produced a catch of the tournament. Once again it was CSK skipper bowling. Jadeja bowled a decent delivery which straightened a bit after pitching. Deep just defended it but a bit uppishly. The ball lobbed up in the air.

Rayudu, who was at short covers, made full-length dive to his right and grabbed the ball with his three fingers. His effort in the middle left everyone including Virat Kohli in awe.

CSK win, finally!

It was all smiles in the CSK camp as the defending champions registered their first victory of the season in their fifth game. They beat RCB by 23 runs in a high-scoring thriller to pick two points and move to the ninth place in the points table. After losing four games on the trot, CSK played like a champion side on Tuesday. They put on the highest total of the season, 216/4 in their quota of 20 overs. Ravindra Jadeja was the most relieved man as he registered his first victory as a captain of an IPL team.
